Villa Les Terrasses

On the Côte d’Azur

Our visitors say it better than we could do it ourselves: “A wonderful place with an incredible view of the Mediterranean”.

Ideal for your family holiday, Villa les Terrasses has 5 bedrooms. There is room for 10 visitors/8 adults. A large swimming pool and an airy microclimate due to its location 85 meter above sea level ensure a comfortable stay. The nearest beach is less than 2 kms away. But where? Between St Raphaël and Ste Maxime. You really should visit Villa Les Terrasses for your family holidays.

The house

The house is in three levels and designed for an extended family. The top floor apartment, the main level and the bottom level comprising pool area and a separate apartment.

Main level

At the main level you find kitchen, the dining room, the lounge, two bedrooms, bathroom and a guest toilet.

Culture and events

In the nearby towns and villages there are arrangements almost every evening in the summer months. At one end of the spectrum you will find open air opera, while the spectacle of “Monster Trucks” arguably represents the other extreme.

Biking & Hiking

The rolling hills are great for road bikers. Just avoid the largest throughfares. There are 100’s of kilometers of trails for mountain bikers. Check out the itineraries here. Wear your helmet, bring some extra water and stay safe.

About the house. House rules

Location: 70km from Nice Airport, 125 km from the main airport of Marseille and 15km off the A8 motorway or 10 km from the TGV Gare st Raphaël, the property is easy to access.

It comprises a floor area of 205 m2, swimming pool, and terrasse with a view of the Mediterranean. It is situated about 2 km from the seaside and beaches and 3.5 km shopping facilities.

Located on a hillside 85 m above sea level, the terrain of 1400 m2 does not offer a proper garden, but is largely covered with typical Mediterranean growths. There is an outdoor barbecue and a garage for a normal sized car plus room to park an additional car on the grounds.

The house faces eastwards. The pool and the terrasse are in the sun until late afternoon. Facing eastwards is an advantage in the summer months, as it keeps the interior relatively cool.

There are five bedrooms, with two beds each. One of the rooms contains bunk beds intended for older children

Grouped around the bathrooms, the bedrooms are arranged in three separate sections. On the lower level there are two bedrooms in a separate apartment with separate entrance and shower bathroom. On the main level there are two bedrooms, a larger bathroom and a guest toilet. In the “turret” one bedroom with a bathroom and a small balcony.

Cooker, terrasse heater and barbecue functions on gas.

House rules are few and simple: No pets, no partying after 22h00, no use of glass bottles or glasses around the pool.

Day Trips

Take your pick: visit the perfume factories in Grasse, take the boat to St Tropez, sail a canoe in the Gorges du Verdon, spend the day on one of the many beaches in the area. Monaco is also within reach for a day trip and do not miss a visit to the pittoresque city of Èze on the way.

Bars & Lounges

Nearly all beaches have their own night spot. They open late in the evening. Just go after the sound.

Golf, anyone?

Within one hour of driving you’ll reach no less than seven golf clubs: Sainte Maxime, St Endréol, Roquebrune, Valescure, Blue Green Saint Raphaël, Old Course Cannes and Cannes-Mougins.

Book your tee time here.

About the region

The Department is called Var, number 83. The name of the commune is Roquebrune-sur-Argens, named after the large basalt rock in the hinterland. The mountain ridge is called Massif des Maures.

In general, the climate is friendly, even if the temperature may exceed 35 degrees in July and August. In January and February it may be relatively chilly, but never cold. Rain is concentrated in the months of April and October. In the summer, winds may be rather strong. Most famous among the winds is the northwesterly Mistral, the result of thermal factors in the Massif Central. The orientation of the house offers relatively good shelter for the Mistral.
